March Update

I really want to blog more than I have been but there just isn’t enough time in the day to do everything. I have spent most of today at the office catching up on e-mails and work.

I was in DC last week at a National League of Cities conference.
I went to a lot of discussion panels and meetings.
I got to hear the other issues that effect other cities around the country and buddy Yuma is not bad at all! I have to praise our administration because they run a tight ship and we are very fortunate to have solved problems decades ago that are really hurting other communities right now.

I will be at the “Building a Quality Arizona” (BQAZ) Statewide Transportation Planning Framework study and the Yuma Union High School District Strategic Planning Team this upcoming week. So I am doing a lot of planning for the future next week.

I really hope that the people that write letters to the editor and nag about the way things are, show up at these planning events and contribute positively for a change. Anyone can complain and point the finger but only a handful show up and help out.

For some reason this was on my mind today.

That’s it for now!
